Hard Times and Dombey and Son

£14.99

Product description

Two Dickens books bound together. Hard Times 134 pp with 20 illustrations by H French and Dombey and Son with 62 illustrations by F Barnard. This is one volume from a collected works : unfortunately there is no date and the majority of the volume number is missing from the bottom of the spine cover. It is likely that it was Vol XVII.
This book is in very poor condition and is offered (at a knock down price) as a rebinding project or for the illustrations. The front board is completely detached. It is imitation leather with gilt patterned corners and spine cover. The latter is quite ornate but there are some defects at the bottom edge. The pages are all gilt edged. The print is in two columns and there is a box around the text on each page.

Not very enticing, I'm afraid.
