A large and handsome book produced by Marg Publications and this, the second impression, is dated 1979 Multi-author text telling he story of the technique and illustrating many examples. There are numerous colour pictures and four of these are in the form of folding out plates. All are intact. The cloth binding of the boards is in contemporary Kalambri material. Appendix of technical methods for making the various natural dyes.

Marg Publications Hardback with no DJ. There is also a little damage to the inferior rear hinge. The upper 5 cm of the spine cover, which is in red paper with gilt lettering, has a vertical tear over the front hinge and the adjacent paper can be hinged forward. The boards show some bending of the corners but are otherwise in very good condition. The binding is good. There is a dedication on the Title page.

Rather impressive book; pity about that tear in the spine cover but It could be mended.
