Product description

Please note: The text of this book is in French.

What is the countryside? For some it is a corner of verdure which shines on leaving a day's work; For the others, it is a land that one wants to build, a place that one wants to be made in a landscape. And then there are the memories: who does not have a country, a land to find, a familiar face of childhood, a way through adolescence ...?

The images of Charles Lecointe, an Artesian photographer from the beginning of the century (1884-1975), compared with those commissioned by Christophe Leger at the request of CESTAR (Agricultural and Rural Science and Technology Center) artifice. The countryside which they restore to us is neither dreamed of, nor parted with traditional attributes. A reality that moves, that deranged, offers to our imaginary and pushes the too familiar clichés of the rurality.

At the same time, the texts of Philippe Ledieu, director of CESTAR speak of the need to (re) know the campaign of today and to invent its assets for tomorrow.

There is a some shelf wear to the dust jacket. Internally, the pages are clean and the binding is tight.
