Lakeland Landscapes. Drawings. Ian Morris.

WAS £19.99 £5.99

Product description

Ian Morris is a Lancashire artist. His main occupation was teaching, but his reputation as an artist grew over the years, with work accepted by the Royal Academy, London and successful exhibitions.

This large format softcover - 41 x 30 cm. - is printed on high quality yellow paper. It contains 23 black and white pencil sketches.

All contain either buildings or bridges set in their Lakeland surroundings. Some are the obvious- e.g. Dove Cottage; Beatrix Potter's home; famous inns. Others are unnamed farm buildings.

All display a high quality of draftsmanship and sensitivity.

On the title page, it states that this was a Limited Edition. No actual number is noted. No artist's signature. There is a signed limited edition around; this copy seems to have missed the boat!

Apart from a little grubbiness to the covers, a very clean copy.

An attractive and, I would suggest, highly "frameable" collection.
