This book contains the work of the South African photographer Marc Stanes, and is one of only 500 printed. On the last page, there is a note marking this as number 258. Intended as an accompaniment to his exhibition 'Naked Sculptures', this moves from his customary focus on the power of the human form, to focus instead on the beauty of plant life, with close studies of flowers, plants and leaves in a gallery setting. This beautiful book focuses on the beauty of form, and is a stunning item for those interested in South African art, or Stanes himself.
