FIRST EDITION: Large paperback book Published by ICCROM (International centre for the study of the preservation and the restoration of cultural property) in 1982 following a Symposium held in Rome from 3 to 6 November 1981. The cover is in very good condition, the top right hand corner is slightly curled upwards. Internally the book is clean, bright and tightly bound. The text is in English and French. The text is illustrated with black and white photographs of some buildings and monuments and close-up and microscopic photographs of various mortars etc. There are also tables of figures. There is a name inscribed on the fep.
