Bill Brandt, although born in Germany, was a renowned British photographer and photojournalist. He became known for his images of British society for such magazines as Lilliput and Picture Post. This volume reflects this, including a range of subjects from the 1930s, typically contrasting for example images of East End children playing in the street with a well-off children's party in Kensington.
Hardback, printed case without jacket. Illustrated fully in black and white. Attractive illustrated endpapers.
Condition Good. Giver's handwritten note opposite Title page. Title page has small printed star and small square clipped out. Slight damage to rear endpapers. Cracking on spine. Otherwise text pages clean and unmarked.
