John Cleese at the Beeb (Frost-Report I'm-Sorry Python Fawlty-Ts etc 2 tapes)

£3.99

Product description

A compilation of extracts from the BBC Radio and Television career, of one of Britain's funniest men.

Writer-performer John Cleese began his comic career at Cambridge University, as part of the celebrated Footlights Club. From there, via "The Frost Report", "I'm Sorry I'll Read that Again" and "At Last the 1948 Show", he went on to join the team of one of the most iconoclastic, innovative and surreal television series of all time - "Monty Python's Flying Circus". Several years later, he created another comedy classic, "Fawlty Towers", and then moved equally successfully to film, writing and starring in such smash-hit comedies as "The Life of Brian", "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", "Clockwise" and "A Fish Called Wanda".

The funniest moments from his BBC career are compiled in this audio release, and are linked and introduced by John himself. Highlights from his ground-breaking comedy career, include extracts from all his BBC programmes, plus a special appearance from Wing-Commander Muriel Volestrangler, FRHS and Bar (further biological information within).
