Heinemann, London, 1978, first edition, hardback with dust jacket, 8vo, pp xv + 238, 58 B&W photographic illustrations within the text.
In this book, the author looks back with laughter at his international tennis playing years, from the mid 1950s through a varied, successful and often outrageeous career on the world's courts. His playing years came before tennis became exclusively professional when it was often played for fun, and this book is non-stop fun as well. Full of superb anecdotes, bursting with vitality and humour and written with unflagging zest and panache.
Very good condition. Green cloth boards with silver lettering to spine. Boards are clean and undamaged with just slight fading to edges. Pages are similarly clean and undamaged and binding is tight.
Dust jacket is also in very good condition. Other than some rubbing to corners jacket is clean and undamaged and is not price clipped.
Overall an excellent copy which shows no obvious evidence of use.
