Product description

Published in 1973 by White Lion Publishing, this is Bomber Pilot written by Group Captain Leonard Cheshire, V.C., D.S.O., D.F.C.

From the dust jacket blurb: "This book, which Cheshire wrote when he was in his early twenties, tells of his early exploits in the R.A.F. - a reconnaissance flight over Northern France; the tension of preparing for an attack on the Ruhr, and the climax of the attack itself; learning to fly types of aircraft; learning to live with danger, with the knowledge that he could not count on being exempt from the fate which overtook many of the young men who had been his friends."
