Forty Years of Spy

£5.99

Product description

Significant shelf wear to the front cover and outer edges of the book. The spine is worn and tatty and there is foxing to pages within the book. A front leaf page is missing and an inscription is on the next cover page. Due to the age of the book, it is likely to be a very early edition (it was first published in 1915). Despite its wear, it is still a good reading copy.

Sir Leslie Matthew Ward was a British portrait artist and characteristic who over four decades painted 1,325 portraits which were regularly published by Vanity Fair, under the pseudonyms "Spy" and "Drawl". In this book, the author recounts his life and work; included are numerous illustrations.
