Georgian Chronicle: Mrs Barbauld and Her Family by Betsy Rodgers

£27.99

Product description

This biographical novel of Mrs Barbauld and Her Family presents a unique and intimate look into their lives over five generations of the Aiken family.

The book is a black hardback with gilded lettering across the spine. It has a cream dust jacket with the name of the book and suggestions of other books from the publisher, Methuen. The book features 7 black and white illustrations and a frontispiece by various artists depicting areas of interest from the book e.g Warrington Academy. The book also contains an index and bibliography at the back.

'Mrs Barbauld and Her Family' is in excellent condition. The dust jacket has two small rips at the spine top and the remanence of two stickers that have since been peeled, however these are very small. The book itself looks to have never been read as the corners, spine and pages are clean and in perfect condition.

This beautiful book would be perfect for a collector or someone looking to delve further into the life of a prominent British poet and children's author.
