The well-named Mrs Savage still attempts to exert her power via incomprehensible memos, and Connie continues to rule the Staff Development Centre with a broom of iron and duster of disapproval at any dirty marks. In the schools themselves Gervase Phinn faces every challenge with humour that is rarely far from the surface.

Gervase Phinn (born 1946) is an English author and educator. After a career as a teacher he became a schools inspector and, latterly, Visiting Professor of Education at the University of Teesside.

This book is in very good condition throughout. Dust jacket has been price-clipped, slight shelf-wear to edges of DJ. Signed by author on title page.
