£14.99

Product description

Title: Letters From a Bank Line Tramp. Published By Regal Press, 2011. Paper Back. 113 Pages.
Externally the book is in good condition with some signs of wear and age, some creasing to the top, outer corners of both front and back covers. Internally the book is in very good condition with no annotations or inscriptions and is tightly bound. Illustrated with black and white photographs and press cuttings. In the foreword the author states:
"I came across a bundle of old letters and postcards. The letters were from a ship's engineer to his wife.
It was clear that he was a Chief Engineer of the Bank Line tramp steamer 'Haleric'.
By careful editing, amending and adding in some background to the letters, I have been able to present them in a narrative form which describes the life of the Chief Engineer of the tramp ship S S Haleric 1929-1933."
