Hiring themselves a smart agent in Piccadilly, the trio tour Britain, staying in an assortment of digs, Spike survives eccentric landladies, dismal decor and ghastly food. He also has his fair share of amorous adventurers and unrequited lust. Eventually returning to his bedsit in Notting Hill Gate, London, Spike pursues a solo career. After several tours, he turns to scriptwriting for radio He teams up with Harry Secombe, Michael Bentine and Peter Sellers for some ad-lib sessions - They decide to call themselves The Goons.
This is a dedicated signed hard backed book. The hard cover and book itself is in very good condition, whilst the dust jacket is in a good condition. The book has many black and white photographs and the narrative is full of Spike’s unique brand of crazy humour.
