The biography of the man who grew up to become Sweden's next king but at the age of 10 was forced to flee the land in exile following a military coup provoked by his father's inept handling of the war against Napoleon. Though appointed Crown Prince by the Gustavian royalists, political pressure prevented him from marrying his chosen fiance, and he was only returned to his native land posthumously. DJ Condition : slight chipping and creases to head and foot area and corner tips; several minor and small creases elsewhere at edges; mild rubbing with gloss predominant; very mild yellowing to inner flaps; not clipped.
