Includes twenty maps that fold out from the book all of which are complete and in excellent condition. there are also eighteen monochrome photographs. Foreword by Viscount Montgomery of Alamein. Five appendices, including a Roll of Honour.

This book recounts the history of the regiment from 1919 to 1945. The author was their commander in 1938/9 when they were still a horse based regiment and later in the Second World War he again commanded them when they were then a mechanised regiment.

The Royal Scots Greys was a cavalry regiment of the British Army from 1707 until 1971, when they amalgamated with the 3rd Carabiniers (Prince of Wales's Dragoon Guards) to form The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys)

There is a former owner's name is written on front end paper. Light rubbing/shelf-wear on edges of cover. Very sound and tight copy with few flaws.

A very interesting book that covers the changing face and methods of warfare with the move from horses to tanks.
