Product description

Rupert Brooke met Noel Olivier in 1908. She was 15 and he was 20. Brooke was captivated on sight by the shy intelligent schoolgirl and began to bombard her with highly charged and exuberant letters. This was to last until his death in 1915.

Despite her youth, Noel held her own, replying with painstaking honesty and astonishing verve. It is a rich and illuminating exchange.
