Hardback book in poor to fair condition. Affected by damp in the past, with stains to the bottom of the boards and dries mould marks on some of the pages. he book must have been kept in damp conditions as the boards and pages have mould to varying degrees. Ends of spine and corners bumped. Wear on bottom of back board. Discolouration along edges of boards. Text block coming away from spine between gatherings in a couple of in places. Ink inscription on front free endpaper.

Dust jacket, in a protective cover, in poor condition. Ends of spine and corners bumped and chipped. Paper loss at bottom of front cover. Tears and creases elsewhere on the cover. Shelfwear and tears on back cover, which is also marked and sunned. Attempts at repair apparent on inside with a number of sticky labels stuck on the damaged sections. Price clipped.

Located in the centre of the historic market town, we are open seven days a week. You will find a wide and interesting range of stock, including a great selection of children's books, popular and classical music on vinyl and CD, vintage Penguins and other paperbacks, and quirky and collectable items. Our stock is selected by knowledgeable volunteers, catering for both general readers and specialists. We are happy to check our backroom stock for wanted items and also offer a request service. Our themed windows are usually changed every two weeks, with our December Christmas displays offering a diverse and unusual range of gift ideas.

We welcome your donations, which can be brought to the rear of the building (via the Lower Kings Road Car Park). Please contact us before bringing large quantities to discuss arrangements.
