About this item

Foxing along edges. All the pages are clean and intact. Hard cover has slight shelf wear. Dust jacket has small tears but is protected from further damage by plastic cover.

This biography brings to fresh life a romantic, tragic and mysterious figure who has been unaccountably neglected. It is a poignant story full of questions. Was Branwell's early promise as great as his father and sisters believed or were they prejudiced by their affection? What was the twist in his nature that made it impossible for him to develop normally, and sent him to an early grave, a drunkard and a drug addict?
