Full Title: "The Web of Empire: A Diary of the Imperial Tour of Their Royal Highnesses the Duke & Duchess of Cornwall & York in 1901". Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering. Some bumping to spine ends and bending to corners. Dust jacket seems to be purpose-made from maroon leather with embossed patterned border and title in gilt lettering. Wear to edges. 78 full page tissue-guarded black and white plates with printed titles to guards. Colour fold-out map. All edges gilt. Tanning to end papers, with gift inscription to front free: 'For Miss P..., from The Princess of Wales, afterwards Queen Mary, and left by the above to Percy Howard, Joan Reily's Grandfather'.
