Where White Men Died (Bishop Crowther of Africa)

£11.99

Product description

Eagle Books No. 39, this booklet details the life of the Right Reverend Samuel Ajayi Crowther D.D. (c. 1809 – 31 December 1891), the first African Anglican bishop in Nigeria. Authored by M Entwhistle. 32 pages, paperback. The booklet has some yellowing commensurate with age, but is in good condition with a small tear to the top of the spine. A previous owner's name has been pencilled and erased just above title on cover (pictured). This is hardly noticeable. This will appeal to those curious about church and missionary activity in the 19th century.
