  • What are your delivery charges?

Oxfam offers a standard UK delivery charge of £3.95 on all orders containing donated or new product items sent by Royal Mail, with the exception of wedding dresses and other high-value or bulky items, which incur a mandatory courier charge.

If a courier charge applies to any item in the online shop, this will be clearly shown on the product page and in your basket.

We offer optional free delivery on Oxfam Unwrapped gifts. Customers are given the opportunity to make a voluntary delivery contribution for items eligible for free delivery during the checkout process.

Second-hand items (unless indicated otherwise) and Oxfam Unwrapped items (excluding little extras) can be delivered internationally, but please be aware that additional charges may apply.

  • Why do you ask me to make a voluntary delivery contribution on Oxfam Unwrapped items?

We suggest an optional delivery contribution to help Oxfam cover some of our postage costs, so that more of the money from your purchase can be spent directly on our work fighting poverty. Also, making it voluntary means that if you choose to make a contribution, we will be able to claim the Gift Aid on it, if you sign up to the Gift Aid scheme.

You can pay the suggested amount (normally £1.90), increase or decrease your contribution, or pay nothing at all - it's entirely up to you.

  • Can you deliver my order overseas?

All Oxfam Unwrapped items (excluding little extras) can be sent overseas, but please be aware that free delivery does not apply. There may be an Oxfam Unwrapped in the country you wish to send your gift to - in which case it will be quicker and cheaper for you to order from their site. You'll find links to their sites on the Oxfam International Unwrapped page.

Second-hand items can also be sent overseas, unless otherwise indicated on the product page. A mandatory delivery cost will be added to your order at the checkout.

Christmas cards, calendars and diaries cannot currently be delivered overseas, although this is something we are hoping to introduce in future.

  • When will my order arrive?

We aim to dispatch all goods - whether by Royal Mail or by courier - within three working days of receiving the order. You should therefore receive all your purchases within seven working days (Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays) of placing your order.

Please note that if you have ordered more than one item they may not all arrive together. This is because Oxfam Unwrapped gifts and second-hand items are dispatched from different places.

Oxfam Unwrapped gifts are all sent by first class post within three working days of receipt. If you are purchasing a last minute gift you can order a gift online and choose to send an e-card. This gives you the option of when the recipient receives their e-card, it can be sent instantly or on a specific date of your choice.

Second hand (donated) items are sent by second class post within three working days of receipt.

Christmas cards, calendars and diaries should be despatched by 2nd class post within 2 working days of receipt of the order. If you have not received your order and it is after the expected date of arrival (by a couple of days to allow for postal delays), then please contact us so that we can look into this for you and if appropriate send a replacement. We can change the delivery address of any replacements if this would suit.

We aim to despatch all goods - whether by Royal Mail or by courier - within three working days of receiving the order. Please do contact us if you have any problems.

  • Can I delay my order so a gift arrives at the right time?

We don't currently offer the facility to delay the dispatch of orders. However, if you are purchasing Oxfam Unwrapped gifts, you have the option of choosing from a selection of opening instructions on the customisation page (for example," Don't open until your birthday!") and we'll print this on the envelope. Another option is to have gifts sent to your home address so you can forward them on just in time for the special occasion. If you choose to send an e-card, you can include a personal message and choose the date you'd like your e-card to arrive.
