About this item
"A charming nosegay, comprising a dozen short stories, arresting in their subject-matter but permeated throughout by that quiet charm and simple directness that has always chracterized Quakerism at its best. The Author has already issued three volumes of such tales, and the publishers are confident that this new collection will find a warm welcome from old admirers and make her many new friends."
Binding tight. Pages generally clean with just the end papers slightly age-darkened. The front end paper has a name inscribed on it. The spine of the binding is faded at the extreme top and bottom edges. The front board is a little bowed. The unclipped D/W is "sunned" at the spine and shows shelf-wear at the edges, particularly at the spine. The book was publsihed in 1938.
