Hardback with dustwrapper - 1955, 1st edition.

Colour, illustrated dustwrapper is generally good for its age. Spine is sunned with a few water marks. Several nibbles and small pieces missing, especially to corners and head/foot of spine and grubby at rear. Colours remain bright to front illustration although sunned adjacent to spine. Not price-clipped. Pages edges are foxed. Green boards with black decorative titles to front and spine good overall. A few marks and spine is lightly sunned. Slightly warped.

Light foxing to illustrated endpapers. Occasional light foxing throughout otherwise clean and tightly bound. Naïve previous owner's name in pencil to pre-title page.

The fifth 'Green Sailors' Adventure. A generally good example overall with full-page b/w illustrations by Jean Main and David Cobb.
