Mary-Lou of the Chalet School

£29.99

Product description

No. 34 in the perennially popular Chalet School series. No date of publication except for a small section glued facing the final page of the story (presumably cut from an earlier page, as the book appears to have been repaired between the title page and contents) stating "First published 1956" but the dedication on the free front end paper is dated 1959, so this is an early copy.
Text pages are toned, especially on the edges of the text block, however the frontispiece is remarkably clean and bright.
The dust jacket has suffered numerous closed tears and worse tears with areas of loss, as may be viewed in the image, however the colours remain bright. The boards are a little bumped at top and bottom of the spine.
Apart from the obvious age and wear, the story remains perfectly legible and, no doubt, a ripping yarn.
