Signed and inscribed 1938 first edition. Inside the front cover is a typed and signed letter from the author to the recipient, dated 1938. This is the story of two hedgehogs who lived in the author's garden and the other animals around. No dust jacket. Blue illustrated cloth covered board covers with black lettering. The edges are a little scuffed and bent. The spine is good with a few marks. Endpapers are slightly spotted as are the page edges and the pages themselves. The pages are in good readable condition and include several photographs of the hedgehogs and other birds and animals.
