The Black Pirates and the Silver Net ( Griffin Pirate Stories ) / Sheila K. McCullagh

£17.99

Product description

This copy is the 1979 6th impression of the first edition of this rare title, and is in very good condition for its age and type. The cover has some staining (as can be seen in the images), light edge wear and a little damage at the ends of the spine as might be expected, but is overall in very good condition. The previous owner's name has been inked on the title page (as in 3rd scan), and the pages are marked in places (as is common in children's reading books) - the most affected pages are shown in the scans, but the text is clear and readable.

The Griffin Pirate Stories are a collection of books written as a scheme for primary schools during the 1970s-1980s by Sheila K McCullagh. The books spanned 2 series numbering 20 titles in total. This title is in the 2nd series and is the 14th title of the 20 Griffin Pirate Stories. The story is about how Ben the Blue Pirate escapes from the black pirates with the help of the Mer-people and a silver net.
