Soft cloth cover in a red and cream design. The cover is a little grubby and the corners are lightly bumped but there is no discolouration. The page edges are a little grubby also and the same marks show on the fep and several of the pages at the end of the book. Inside both covers there are maps of the world, the front one is a physical map and the rear one is a political. There are also several other maps at the end of the book of different areas and continents of the world. Other than the marks mentioned above the interior of the book is clean, bright and tightly bound. The book is illustrated with line drawings and monochrome photographs. Published by Ginn & Co in 1974, the thirteenth impression, the author is A J Newman.
