One of a series of "Reward Books" published by the Wesleyan Conference Office, designed for distributing at Sunday School and Mission Schools. This particular one deals with the giants Heathenism, Selfishness, Covetousness, Ill-Temper and Intemperance. A small hardback bound in dark green with gilt and black decoration to the front, undated but published no later than 1881.
Minimal age soiling to text block edges, occasional foxing spots but all text is clear.There are traces of a label on the front fixed end paper and a dedication on the front free end paper reading "A Reward from the Wesleyan Missionary Committee Feb 27/81".
The vivid frontispiece is brightly colourful, the text contains several well-detailed monochrome illustrations.
