Good condition for a second-hand book: moderate wear to dust-jacket with heavy chipping to spine ends, lighter chipping to flap folds, 1 x 4.5cm, 1 x 1.7cm and other, smaller, closed tears and creasing to top edge, 1 x 2.5cm, 1 x 2cm, 1 x 0.7cm and other, smaller, closed tears and creasing to bottom edge, 0.8cm open tear to rear spine fold, 0.5cm open tear to front flap fold, front flap of jacket price-clipped, light sunning to jacket spine, light foxing to jacket reverse; light edge-wear to hardcovers and spine with light bumping to cover corners and spine ends, light bowing to hardcovers, light slanting/twisting to spine; 3.5cm crack to front hinge, light cracking between pages 16 and 17 and pages 56 and 57, 1 x 0.6cm closed tear to page 57/58 bottom edge, 1 x 0.8cm closed tear to page 59/60 bottom edge ; gift inscription to half-title page, marking to fore edge of pages 35 to 42, occasional soiling internally, otherwise internally fine given age of book.

Oxfam Distribution Centre Bournemouth

Here at the B.D.C. we source goods for stores in the Dorset, Wiltshire and Avon area, by house collections and clearances, corporate and personal donations as well as emptying numerous textile and book banks in the area. We have been awarded the "Best National Oxfam On-Line Store" for 2009/10. All of our items have been listed by volunteers who have done a fantastic job, and we are always looking for new volunteers to help us with our on-line operation. We are not open to the public.
