The Kings English for Commercial Students

£24.99

Product description

The King's English for Commercial Students was first published in 1939, although this version is a reprint from February 1947, as a school textbook. The boards are bound in green cloth, which is very faded, particularly on the spine. At the top centre of the front is the title and the authors' names - printed in black and separated by a tiny symbol. The spine has the title written along the length, from bottom to top, so it is seemingly upside down. However, the publisher's name is written horizontally, in tiny text, at the bottom. The edges of the boards are worn through handling and the corners are bumped. The page edges are a bit grubby and there are ink marks randomly scattered about the outside of the book.

The front end sheets and fly sheets have prominent foxing with some handling marks. Additionally, the title sheet is almost detached from the binding. The back end sheet has ink scribbling, while the inner sheet has prominent foxing and handling marks. Several of the page corners have small dog-ears or tears and around half a dozen -pages have annotations in ink. This copy of the book would make a good reading or reference copy.
