The Stable in Bethlehem

£19.99

Product description

This book is an original and imaginative account of the Annunciation and the miraculous happenings leading up to the birth of Christ. Fritz Steuber has described with perfect simplicity the Nativity as it must have appeared to the humble people who witnessed it.

This particular copy is in very good condition. The book's original dustjacket is still in tact with only minimal tears and scuffs to it. It is protected by a plastic covering. There is a beautiful coloured illustration on its front cover.

As for the interior, all pages are clean and free of any writing, highlighting and markings. There is some browning to the end papers from age but no apparent signs of foxing. The previous owner's name is written in the inside front cover.

Overall, this is a wonderful retelling of Jesus' birth, published here for the first time in English from its German original. Wily Kretzer's drawings are the perfect accompaniment to the already perfect written text.
