Herman Kranz is a celebrated German author of children's fiction.
His most successful series of novels are about the fictional company Ubique Terrarum. This 10-volume series follows the adventures and experiences of a six-member group of men from Europe (an Englishman, an Irishman, two French, two German and from Volume 6 instead of the Germans, a young Indian). The stories take place include Afghanistan, Brazil, the United States, a Caribbean island in Greenland, in Malaysia, in Sardinia, Morocco, Lebanon and in southern France. Wreath, it was important that his main character is not omnipotent hero, but a team in which the capabilities and shortcomings of individuals neutralize each other.
The team is sent to expeditions all over the world, partly to search for mineral resources, but more often to help people in need. In the first volume of the series, the first order of the men is described, the only recognizable in many conflicts that they can trust each other unconditionally. The series ends because the men Ubique Terrarum leave to support the Rajah of a Malaysian state build the administration of his country after independence.
