Cyberantics is an illustrated story book, featuring Ari, a robot ant, who encounters a multitude of dangers on a mission inside a real ant colony. The book is a tie-in to the Aliens comic-book miniseries Aliens: Hive; a real world production of a fictional work mentioned within. The book is credited to Stanislaw Mayakovsky, a character in that comic book, but was in fact written by Jerry Prosser, the writer and editor of several Aliens books from Dark Horse Comics, including the aforementioned Hive.
The book features striking artwork by Rick Geary, in black, white, and red, inspired by Russian Constructavist Alexander Rodchenko.
The book is presented in landscape format, with the illustrations and story occupying an almost square area of each page, leaving a column on the side for annotations on the story, such as detailing the development of the robot ant, and the other creatures it encounters.
The book is in excellent condition, with very minor marks around the cover edges, and one mark on the back cover where it appears a price sticker once was. A charming book in its own right, it is packed with beautiful illustrations, and would of coruse also be of interest to any fans of the Aliens series.
