In this complete revision and resetting of the 1948 "Wright I"-- as it is widely known-- 143 new titles have been added. Several hundred new editions of titles previously recorded have been located, eight of them earlier than before recorded. Authorship has been established for other entries, and a few unknown authors and their work have stepped forth from complete obscurity. These changes are so important and extensive that they required the publication of this new book, which now contains approximately 3,500 entries. Described as "indispensable to the serious student of American Literature", this book is an essential for anybody pursuing the topic.
