St Martin’s Press, New York, 1985, first edition, hardcover with d/w, inscribed by the author.

The year is 1817, and Claude Sanguinet is restless again. His past machinations include an unsuccessful plot to overthrow the British government by kidnapping the Prince Regent. He is determined not to fail again: this time he will do away with Prince George altogether....

The book is in very good+ condition with just very slight bumping to the base of the spine. It is from the library of the author, Eva Ibbotson and there is a handwritten dedication from the author to Eva on the FFEP (see photo). The d/w is in good+ condition with fading to the spine partial fading to the rear wrapper and 2 small holes to the front wrapper. It is price clipped.

We are a specialist shop nestled in the heart of Jesmond, a lovely residential area of Newcastle Upon Tyne. We opened in July 2010 and have on offer 5,000 books, 2,000 records, CDs and games as well as sheet music, cards and stationery within the shop. Our shop has high ceilings and a nice, bright and airy feel. We are gaining a very good reputation in the Rare and Collectable books and vinyl community, but also do a roaring trade in contemporary fiction and modern non-fiction. We also organise live music and book events and aim to be a hub of culture in this wonderfully tight-knit community.
