Sense and Sensibility

£85.00

Product description

A volume in the Macmillan's Illustrated Pocket Classics series.342 pp including 40 full page pen and ink drawings, all present and in good condition. The blind stamp , identifying the book as a presentation copy given away by an author, illustrator or editor, is present on the tissue protecting the frontispiece, the title page and the first page of the Introduction. The covers are bumped at the extremities and rubbed at both ends of the spine but the gold lettering and embossed designs are still quite bright. The endpapers are browned and there is a name and date writen neatly in red ink on the front endpaper. All the cut edges have scuffs and small grubby marks but the top edge has retained much of its gilt. Five or six pages are foxed but still legible and the remainder are very clean and unmarked.

Oxfam Bookshop Reading

One of the largest bookshops in the Oxfam network, Reading Books has more than 5000 different titles in the shop at all times. We have unusually large sections in science fiction and fantasy, literature, history, travel, children's, business and the sciences. There is plenty of space for browsing and a couple of chairs for customers who wish to inspect books more closely. We also have a catalogue of about 1000 collectable books that are kept in the backroom, and these can be brought out for customers to view on request.
