Tales of Hearsay and Last Essays

£14.99

Product description

The first part of this volume contains four stories unpublished in book form at the time of Conrad's death: 'The Warrior Soul', 'Prince Roman' (Conrad's only Polish story), 'The Tale' and 'The Black Mate' (his very first story). 'Last Essays' gathers together his hitherto uncollected articles, 19 pieces in all, among them the long Conradian essay 'Geography of some Explorers', and essays on topics ranging from 'Cookery' to 'John Galsworthy' and 'Christmas Day at Sea'. Published by J. M. Dent and Sons in 1955.

This hardback is in fair condition. The dustjacket is intact, although sunned to the spine and with tearing along the edges. There is some sun damage to the front endpapers but text inside is clean and clear.

A fantastic collection of stories and essays from one the greatest English novelists, and a great addition to the collection of any Conrad fan.
