The Bell Family

£19.99

Product description

Collins, 1959

Hardcover, Condition: Good. Dustjacket present, small tears (either side of spine at the top, back top centre) and other small signs of edgewear such as chipping. Endpapers have signs of foxing, at the front this leaks though into the next page, otherwise the pages are clean if lightly tanned at the edges. Pages are firmly bound with no writing or highlights within. Features illustrations from Shirley Hughes.

"The Thames is a very twisting sort of river. It is as if it had to force its way into London, and had become bent in the process. First there is a big bend to the right, followed immediately by a smaller bugle to the left. In that smaller bulge to the left is the part of south-east London in which the Bells lived."
