the Embroidered Sunset

£6.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

Yes, this is the Joan Aiken of The Wolves of Willoughby Chase fame, well-known for her amazingly creative short stories for children. However this is a Gothic suspense story which was published in America in 1970.
A paperback book with turmeric yellow edges to the text block, text page outer margins are a tiny bit age toned but all text is clear. Apart from the last 3 pages having a tiny part of the lower, outer corner torn off, and slight scuffing to the edges of the card covers, also a Boston USA bookshop stamp at the foot of the half title page, the book is in very good condition, with only a small split between the block and the front cover of barely 2 inches, which does not detract from the melodramatic quality of the vividly illustrated covers nor the Gothic suspense within.
