This comic novel by Henry Fielding, tells the story of Tom Jones, a foundling discovered on the property of a very kind, wealthy landowner, Squire Allworthy, in Somerset.

Tom develops affection for his neighbour's daughter, Sophia Western. However their different social status creates problems.

The book, a 1953 reprint of the 1749 original is in good condition but with yellowing to pages and foxing and water marks to outer edges. The dark red cover is unmarked but the spine shows signs of wear at the top and bottom edges.

Situated in central Bristol above the Cotham Hill general Oxfam shop, Oxfam's Bristol Online Shop has just been recently set up. Initially, we are selling donated books online, before gradually expanding to incorporate clothing, DVDS, bric 'a' brac and much more in the new year!
