First edition published by Arrowsmith, Bristol in 1897. Book is hardcover without dust wrapper. Binding is burgundy cloth covered boards with gilt titles to spine and red titles to front cover. Binding is tight and is in very good condition for age with some bumping and rubbing to corners and edges, a couple of marks to boards and a little fading to spine although titles are still fairly bright. Text block shows ageing to edges and there is some foxing, text is clean throughout. Inscribed and signed by author to half title page. An excellent copy of this scarce first edition title.
