This is a major work with full details of a variety of French recipes and how to prepare them. As well as very detailed menu ideas there are sections on techniques and equipment. This is a superb reference manual for any cook. There is an excellent and useful 32 page index. Illustrated with black & white drawings.

This copy was the personal property of Hardy Amies the Queen's principal dress designer. Hardy Amies' ex-libris is attached to the inside cover and there is an inscription opposite, reading: 'July 1974, To Hardy, Something for your birthday! Roger'.

There is a very small amount of bumping on the corners, however it is nonetheless in very good in a very clean condition with a sound binding.
