A History of American Labor

£14.99

Product description

Collier- Macmillan Limited, 1966, Rayback J. G. Paperback. Book Condition: Good. The book shows some slight shelf-wear on the edges and corners, there is some change of color of the front and back cover (see photos). Pages are bright and clean throughout with no annotations or inscriptions.

In this revised edition the author's goal is to bring the history of American labor up to date. The original edition ended with the expulsion of the teamsters from the A.F.L. - C.I.O. at the end of 1957; this edition continues the history with the middle of 1965, when much of the political program that Labor had developed since the passage of the Taft-Hartley Act was finally being enacted and when an expansive economy appeared to presage a favorable reversal in Labor's slowly declining fortunes.
