About this item
There are 3 tears on the top edges of the dustjacket and there is some scuffing on the front bottom edge and at the corners, of the dustjacket. Otherwise the book is in very good condition.
The book describes a collection of a number of beautiful drinking vessels taken from the history of the art of ceramics, precious metals, pewter, glass and porcelain. They have been selected to demonstrate how the drinking vessel is inextricably linked to its socio-historical context.
There are descriptions of the customs surrounding the consumption of the different drinks for which the vessels were made.
