Cover, in blue cloth boards with gilt titling to spine, is in good/very good condition with just a little bumping to spine extremities.Internally the book is in good, clean and tight condition with no inscriptions, tears or creases. There is a 1 inch stain at top of the fore edge of the page block but which has not affected the actual page faces themselves. The dustjacket is in good condition with just some minor shelfwear related marks and a small area of shallow creasing at top of the rear of the jacket. A fascinating collection of essays of great interest to both historians and literary scholars with 14 b&w illustrations.
