This study begins by putting the problem of federalism into the global context before it proceeds to focus attention on the perspective and problems of federal polity in India.146 pp including eight appendices containing, among other items, notes on :Janapadas of Bharatvarsa; Subahs of the Mughal Empire ; socio-cultural regions of modern India. Six maps relevant to the study are also includeed. The dust jacket is sunned on the spine but is only lightly rubbed and is not price-clipped. There is a tiny faded strip along the top and bottom edges of the covers and a small dent near the base of the back board but the white lettering is still bright and the binding tight. Apart from a neatly pencilled number on the back endpaper, the cut edges, pages and text are very clean.

One of the largest bookshops in the Oxfam network, Reading Books has more than 5000 different titles in the shop at all times. We have unusually large sections in science fiction and fantasy, literature, history, travel, children's, business and the sciences. There is plenty of space for browsing and a couple of chairs for customers who wish to inspect books more closely. We also have a catalogue of about 1000 collectable books that are kept in the backroom, and these can be brought out for customers to view on request.
