Fetch Felix The Fight Against the Ulster Bombers 1976-77

£14.99

Product description

The heraldry of war includes many famous signs that mark down a man as belonging to or having belonged to a distinguished unit. Felix, a pop-eyed, red and white Disney-style cat, is now one of those signs. He is the proud symbol of a band of men who did one of the most nerve-wracking jobs in the fight against indiscriminate bombers of Northern Ireland. For 14 months, during one of the most violent campaign, the author was the Chief Ammunition Technical Officer of this unit and this is his close-up and personal story of the time.
Apart from minor age toning to text block edges the book is in very good condition, with only slight handling wear: the block is tight, all text clear on clean pages, there are a few pages of b/w photographic plates and the glossy dust jacket design remains striking.
