Dixon who lived in the area and was for many years the local County Councillor, it describes in detail every aspect of the Parish of Gairloch, its history, legends, geography and wild life, and provides a fascinating insight into social life at the date when it was written. It includes a map of the Parish of Gairloch inside the back cover.

The book on sale was published in 1984 and is a reproduction of the 1886 edition.

The book is in very good condition. There is some shelf wear to the dust jacket. Otherwise internally, the pages are clean and the binding is tight.
